Leupold , Burris and Swarovski glass

For the money Burris is the way to go. I have several from the Signature Select on down to the FFII(and a couple original Fullfields). I do not have a single complaint. I love my Signature's. Now having said that I also know you generally get what you pay for. There is no way in Hell I can say a...

    325 WSM

I have a Model 70 in 270 wsm and a CZ Model 3 in 300 wsm. The only time I have had feeding problems is when I tried to slowly chamber a round. I highly doubt you would be slowly chambering a round during a dangerous game hunt. Especially for a follow up shot. Personally I love the wsm's not sure...

    Sako / tikka owners

I was wanting to know if a tikka action would fit a stock made for a Sako? My most recent idea is to use a tikka t3 lite 270 wsm as a base for a 25-300wsm custom. I have heard that the single stack magazine tikka uses feeds the best. The only thing I don't like is tikka's stock. I was hoping I...

    Browning A-bolt 223 wssm

Never mind that last question. I found that the wssm action is .5" shorter than the regular short action. Also the chrome lined barrel is available with both the browning and winchester offerings and is supposed help it last to 1,500 rounds. I guess we'll see.

    BURRIS XTS-2575 Spotting Scope

Right now I have a Leupold Sequoia that honestly I am not all that impressed with. My Burris Signature Select 10x50's show more detail a 100+ yds than the sequoia on 45x. Of course the price differance was about $400 too. That all is besides the point anyways since I feel the sequoia is rather...

    Browning A-bolt 223 wssm

If I decide I don't like the 223 wssm does anyone know if it would be possible to rebarrel it for a 25/300 wsm?

    BURRIS XTS-2575 Spotting Scope

Has anybody bought or used one of these. They are looking somewhat attractive as a backpacking spotter. Here is the link to them http://www.burrisoptics.com/spottingscope.html A new, high performance Cassegrain-style mirror system design allows us to offer this high-magnification...

    Browning A-bolt 223 wssm

As far as feeding goes I have heard the tikka single stack magazine works the best. I have also heard the the scissor like spring follower of the browning is the best of the american gun makers (their office is in Utah if nothing else :? ). Maybe I will just put one of those plates in to block...

    Browning A-bolt 223 wssm

Well the price was right for the wssm, $399 nib. So does everybody think the short mags are doomed or just the super shorts? According to Browning their wssm barrels are supposed to out last regular 22-250 barrels because they are chrome lined. Is that just hot air and clever marketing?

    Browning A-bolt 223 wssm

Does anyone out there have one of these? I recently put one on layaway. It was a toss up between the 223 wssm, 22-250, or maybe a 220 swift. The price just so happened to be right for the wssm. Recently though I have been finding articles on the web about the barrels not lasting and being shot...

    Nikon Buckmaster scope

Don't mean to hijak the thread or anything, but how do the buckmasters compare to a fullfield II? Of the same power of course. I know they won't beat a leupold or zeiss, but both are out of my price range when you start getting past the 3-9x40's.

    7mm wsm?

Actually I was wondering about the rifle itself not the caliber. The info posted is appreciated anyways. I like to hear that the wsm's are so well liked. I can throw that in all of my friends faces that say they don't see them being around in a couple years simply because they aren't a 30-06. I...

    CZ action

That's what I had to do with my CZ model 3. The action felt okay but I thought it could be better. Worked the action any time I sat down in front of the tube.

    Limbsaver recoil pads?

Probably got threatened with a lawsuit or something. You can address all your responses to captain obvious. P.S. I haven't had a chance to shoot the 30-06 yet since I froze its pad. Hopefully I can get to it this weekend or next. I really miss living in the country where I could just fire it...

    Limbsaver recoil pads?

Took the recoil pad out of the freezer late last night. Stiff but still functional. I guess I can tell my local gun shop that they are full of $hit.
