Ran ladder test today with rl17 seated out to 2.945 was about 90 deg out. 43.7 and 44 grouped together and 44.6, 44.9, 45.1,45.4 less than an inch for all four. Think I am going to shoot some groups with 44.4, 44.6,44.8, and 45. If dont see what I want there will go back and shoot 43.6,43.8 and...

Only shot 3 shot group at 100. All touching.

Well I finally got out to try it. Loaded to 2.94 COAL and used Ramshot Hunter. 46.1 grains was highest I went and was 2550 fps. Accuracy node was 45.5 grains at 2520 fps. This is with Mcgowen 8 twist 22" barrel.

Finally going to start playing with this, have some free time. I measured wrong first time coal to lands is 2.985 with the 180. So I should be able to go 2.950

No can't quit go that long I checked today and 2.910 at the lands with 180. With 162 is 2.950 at the lands.

Yes will be aics mags can do 2.860 in plastic p mags or if go with accurate mag and no binder plate 2.950

Starting at 2500 fps is only like 2.5 moa more drop at 1000. Benefits in wind are worth it

I have quit a bit of RL 17 and ramshot hunter. Think I will try those.

Even if can only get 2500 fps the bc is so high would be worth it.

I just received new barrel for my rem 700 7mm-08. Is 22" 1 in 8 mcgowen I want to try the 180 eldm in. I was wondering if someone could run quickload to give me idea on what powders might give most velocity. Thank you guys!!!
