I am using VV N165 in my 280 AI. It pushes 140’s at 3200 with a 63.5 gr charge weight. And, it is <1/2 moa @100 yards.

You buy cheap you get cheap. Winchester cases split the necks just as you experienced about half the time. Remingotn brass is softer and much more forgiving.

I use the O.T.I.S. cleaning kit. The flexible cable style rods are great. It all folds into a very small package. It yielded all of my stiff, pain in the butt, screw together rods that always came unscrewed at the joints, obsolete!! Have never looked back and was glad to shed those Ugly Sticks.

84.5 gr IMR 7828 makes my 180 Scirocco's do 3250 from my 300 Wby, 26" barrel. 3/4" 3 shot groups.
