Looking for 338 Win Data, 250 gr Partitions & H414 Powder

Temp was about 45 degree F, I will shoot them again in the 60 -70 degre range to make sure they still seem ok. I plan to use them for Elk so 45-50 F is typically as warm as it gets that time of year around here. Rhoden101

Looking for 338 Win Data, 250 gr Partitions & H414 Powder

I plan to load 250 gr Partitions in a 338 Win mag. I have alot of H414 so that is the powder I would like to use. The only data I can find for this combination is on Hogdon's website (max load is 65.0 gr. = 2622 fps). If anyone has other data for this combination I would be interested. Rhoden101

.458 cal 300 gr. North Fork Bonded Flat Point

I agree and the balistics of this combination look good out to about 300 yards and that is why I am so interested on the 300/350 gr. weight in a 458 Lott. I will have to put it to use here in the states untill I can put it to its intended use in Africa! Rhoden101

.458 cal 300 gr. North Fork Bonded Flat Point

North Fork seems to be a fine bullet but cost right at $100 for 50 shipped. I wish Nosler or Swift would start making a 300 Partition or A-frame (Nosler did for a while).

The original stock cracked after 4th shot while shooting 400 gr. Federal Premium factory .458 win. mag. loads. Ruger replaced...
