FWIW, the xcr also has the rubber overmolded stock. They're nice rifles but don't look for the XCR to out shoot any other 700. All of mine shoot pretty well. I had a model 16 Savage .243 that would put five shots in one ragged hole so if you want economy...

When I was a kid, I fired 165 gr. BT's from a 30-06 into wet newspaper. It penetrated about an inch and a half and exploded. The biggest piece I found out of 3 rounds was 27 gr. I decided they weren't for deer hunting 15years ago.

Has anyone had any dealings with the Armalite AR-10 in .243? I like the AR platform and love the round but I'm wondering if they pulled it off. I was just wondering about function and accuracy. Do they make an A2 version of this?

Good Lord! Twenty eight days "cooling off" to buy a high end bolt action rifle. That makes sense because I know here in the states the weapon of choice for gangsters is a Sako 75 Deluxe. If only our politicians were as progressive as yours :lol:.
