Sounds like a fun .284 Win setup. A 20–22" barrel with a 1:9–1:10 twist should comfortably handle 90–160gr bullets, and even 165–168s in some cases depending on the exact bullet length. Should end up pretty versatile for a “just for fun” build. Crossy Road
In my opinion, the Hornady 212 Grain ELD-X bullets could be a solid choice for elk hunting, especially since they perform exceptionally well in my rifle, but I would recommend considering their performance at various distances before making a final decision.
