Folks,
I've got some Sierra 53 grain Match bullets.
I loaded them yesterday with 34 grains of H 4895. According to the Sierra rep on the phone today I should be about 3550 fps in a 14-twist barrel. I think Ruger No.1 22-250 varmint barrels are 1 in 14 twists. Speed is NOT my concern just...
Salmonchaser,
Thank you for your reply.
I was so frustrated I just left them on the frame -and another club member was waiting on a frame so I packed up and went home.

Fellows,
Well, I tried 6 different powder and OAL combinations.
Zilch. Shot them all today over a few hours, it was a beautiful day in Southern NJ, and only loaded 5 of each combination.
My 1V DOES NOT like 40 grain Varmagdedons or BT.
Moving on to see what 50s will do.
Thanks for your input...
Folks,
I loaded some 40grain Varmagdedon using 36 grains of Accurate 2520, and 36.5 grains of Accurate Big Game for 50 grain Varmagdedeons. Results were horrible!! I'm shooting a Ruger No.1V,-action is bedded-barrel is bedded and free floated and it's got a Canjar set trigger.
I'm wondering if...
Fellows,
I'm wondering if anyone is using Varget in .22-250 with Nosler 50 to 55 Varmagdedon bullets?
The rifle is a Ruger No.1V. Flat base bullets seem to shoot better for me at 100 yard range.
Also, in .243 shooting Hornady 65 grain VMax bullets for Coyotes, and 90 or 95 grain Nosler...
Folks I'm wondering if anyone is using the above powders in .243 Winchester 10 twist rifles.
I'm looking to load 65 grain Vmax and 70 grain Varmagdedon & Ballistic Tip bullets. Rifle is a Ruger No.1a
Glass bedded with a 2.5X10X40-5HD scope, Penrod Precision did all the work along with trigger...

I'm wondering if anyone is using any of the Accurate powders?
The reason I ask is the availability. I use 2520 in a 22-250 load and I'm going to attempt to work up a load in a No.1a 243 with 65 grain V Max bullets using Accurate 4064.
I've seen their powders and also Western brand at the...
JD,
I saw an old post where you recommended an ATN night scope.
I'm looking to get into the night life . The last time I looked through a night vision it was 1968/69 in Vietnam. Was called a "Starlight Scope" Big, bulky and real heavy. I guess things have improved in the last 55 years!!
Thank...
