Loving the BLR chambered in 358 Win.

What a great rifle and caliber combination! Congratulations. I have a BLR in 284 Winchester that I love, but it's a safe queen - less than one box of ammo through it to sight it in. Nice Leupold scope, too. Unfortunately, 284 ammo is practically impossible to find, certainly at any quasi-reasonable price. As such, I should probably sell the rifle to someone who handloads, but the BLR is such a beautiful, well-balanced firearm that I can't convince myself to part with it.

I have no current plans to sell that rifle, Dan, but I'll keep you in mind if anything changes. Thanks for letting me know of your possible interest.

Such a firearm should come north of the border where it will be used and appreciated on a greater variety of big game!
I'd be willing do more than talk! (Or at least let the cash do the talking!)

(Still waiting on a certain someone on this forum to be convinced he should send his BLR in 257 Roberts north too!)
Both would make fine companions for my 358! While it sees a lot of field time, and gets to take an animal every now and then...I get the feeling that it is a little lonely of some similar littermates!

Also, I just checked, there is ample 284 brass available at reasonable prices on gunbroker. Reasonable compared to 300 HH anyway.

I was just perusing another firearms forum here in Canada, and there is a BLR in 284 Win for sale for $1500...unfortunately he is on the east coast not willing to ship!

Shadetree found one back in 2021.
Haven't heard from him in a while...says his last post was July 9 last year...anyone heard from of late? Is he OK?
