This could definitely be the range loadBoy, I’d be tempted to try the 100’s in it myself. Be it PT, BT, TTSX, etc.. try it around 2700 and see how it feels. I see Nosler has Varget and 15 data, so H4895 is right in there. Might make a wicked pleasant little combo.
Yes, they tell you you can reduce max load by 60%. So if we called 39.5gr max load from quick load, the reduced load would be 23.7 gr. I would feel more comfortable with a published book load for that kind of reduction. How low would you all feel comfortable going? My plan is - #1 looking for a light range load. Then #2 step it up for a hunting (mule deer) loadCheck the Hodgdon site, they have an article on there about how to do reduced loads with H4895, NOT IMR4895. It's very tolerant of reduced loads.
I have no problem loading the full 60% reduction . if I were you , I'd round the 23.7 grain off to 24.0 and start loading . watch for low PSI signs . usually it's hangfire , and primers backing out , smoke back the brass case body . I have not seen these while using H4895 .Yes, they tell you you can reduce max load by 60%. So if we called 39.5gr max load from quick load, the reduced load would be 23.7 gr.
