Question for everyone; I've gotten real good loads with 180g AccuBond and 175G Terminal Ascent in my 300WSM. I picked up a couple of boxes of Norma Bondstrike 180G and would like to work up a load for it. BTW: My Browning shot the Factory 180G Bondstrike pretty good but I thought I would try and handload for it. A couple of questions: anyone care to guess what powder Norma uses in the factory loadings? Wondering since it's a Swedish company maybe they use Vihtavuori? 2nd question: do you think I could start close to the loads it likes with the 180 Accubonds and TA's which are H4831sc and H4350?
TIA

RL338: thanks for that link. I don't have any Norma 204 but it's very close to H4350 which is the powder the 175GTA liked. Maybe I will start with H4350.

During Covid when powder became difficult to find, H4350 was the only thing I could find, or so it seemed. I ran out of Rl 26; 22; 19; 17;15, you get the idea. I’ve now got a load worked up in all my rifles from .22-250 to 375HH using H4350. H4350 works well in my 300HH which has the same case capacity as your 300wsm, my guess is you’ll do ok with it.

Actually Norma has their own powder line Norma MRP is close to RE22 but like most commercial ammo manufacturers their ammo line likely is a special mixed powder. I have a Browning Abolt in 300WSM the only bullet that I have loaded for it is the 200 grain Norma Oryx and with Ramshot Hunter it has averaged 2900 FPS and I could increase it a little bit more that round will take anything in North America.

I have loaded some Bondstrike in my CZ550 30/06 with only a 20.5 inch barrel and 58 grains of Ramshot Hunter I got 2750 FPS. With Staball 6.5 and 56.5 grains got 2730 FPS. I think I can increase it a little to get near 2800 FPS but really don't need to haven't shot a deer yet with it . In a WSM you should get close to 3100 FPS with powders between 4350 up to Superformance burn rates. Ramshot Hunter is working for a lot of my different calibers I got quite a bit of it since 4350 was a Unicorn for awhile. So if you have 4831 that would be your best shot with the 180 grains bullets.
