ABLR terminal performance?

I agree with the twist rate maybe being a problem , these are long bullets .

I wonder about that as well. My custom Mauser has the original twist rate use for the cartridge. Something like 1 in 8.68" The M70 FWT is, I heardh came with the original twist then some one said a 1 in 9" twist and some say a 1 in 10" twist. I've tried measuring it myself with varied results. The Ruger #1 has a 1 in 10" twist so I can understand it's not doing all that well with the 150 gr. ABLR.
I've run over 100 rounds of test loads at various seating depths with no luck at all. FWIW, I've had the same problem with the 120 and140 gr. Barnes TSX. Good speed with any of the loads but no accuracy.

Not sure PJ Gunner. Could possibly be barrel twist? A 150gr ABLR in 7mm is much longer than a normal 160gr cup & core bullet most of the time.

I've heard how they can be finicky and while I havent got any tiny bug hole groups, I've gotten three rifles in three different calibers sub-moa without a ton of fiddling.

I have noted they need to be loaded straight as possible. Same for all bullets, but they seem to be a bit more critical of run out. Once I started paying attention to neck tension and trying a few seating depths I have done pretty decent with them. One thing I haven't tried is lightly engaging the lands to the point of .005 into the lands with them. I know a few that have had good results doing so.
