OAL - Reloading 7 REM Mag

Hey gang. I recently got a Hornady bullet comparator and OAL gauge and case to try tweaking my XBolt next level. I’m going to try (as suggested by a friend) the 168 gr ABLR.
I got everything laid out, set up, and set to go this am and measured to light finger touch pressure contacting the lands. The reading kind of threw me off, at 3.757 inches. Dropping the suggested .020, that puts me at 3.737. Does that seem oddly long? I have zero point of reference other than YouTube videos so any ideas are appreciated!

Fairly certain I just answered my own question…. I didn’t zero the calipers on the comparator tool……. Sorry gang

What’s the true measurement you get OleBud? I wouldn’t be completely surprised if you were very long with the 168’s.

I used this Eric Cortina video to find jam in my 280 AI Criterion. I "had" to do it because Barnes recommends starting jump of .050. The method worked as described and my 140 gr TTSX liked the .050
