My first Scimitar oryx

Most scimitar oryx in SA are not importable to the USA as they are considered an endangered species. They can be but the paper work is a nightmare and most ranches in SA have never taken the steps to make it happen.

Interesting. As they weren't on my list I hadn't inquired into importing to Canada.
As the meat is good, may be interesting to hunt one in Texas someday so I can bring the meat home...perhaps a cull...while on a axis or blackbuck hunt.

I could ask my daughter to edit a slow motion video of that Barnes / shoulder impact. Earlier before posting this thread, I felt that if I posted it, it would trigger a cry from some activist on how inhumane we are shooting those animals. What do you guys say?
