Hey all,

Just seeing what people have stashed away for old or obsolete bullets. Discontinued lines, bullets that were your go to that can't be found anymore.

Just curious what people have out there that's either enough for one or two more seasons before it's gone for good or bought and still haven't found the right project/gun/hunting situation yet.

Here's a few of mine I saw sitting on the shelf, the .338 200 gr Ballistic Tips were what had me thinking asking these lines.

Show off the golden oldies friends!!

I have a couple that are either hard to find or discontinued. Nosler .44 250 gr Partition gold, Nosler. 338 200 gr ballistic tip, hornady .44 265 gr interlock flat point, and not gone, but hard to come by, speer .44 270 gr deep curl. Think the hornsdy is still loaded in factory ammo, just not offered as a component anymore. 20261023_132442.jpg

Would have to say the Winchester Power Point bullets I have for:
  • .284" 150 gr
  • .375" 270 gr
And:
Trophy Bonded Tip:
  • .277" 140 gr
Speer Mag Tip"
  • .416" 350 gr

Ive got a box or two of the old 7mm Win Fail Safe bullets. Not sure that I'll ever use them but don't want to sell or trade them either

I have a bunch of .277 150 grain PT Golds, .284 160 PT Golds, BBCs for .277, .284, 308, 338, 358 and 375 stuff.

Some other weird stuff as well.

The only Nosler bullet I use that’s been discontinued are the 260 grain pistol bullets that I use in .50 muzzleloaders. I probably have a several lifetime supply.

I have a Sauer and Son 9x57 Mauser rifle that I don’t really use for anything but I have a bunch of these bullets that I found somewhere online if I ever get the urge

Lastly, I got into the .348 Win game late but I have accumulated a pretty good supply of Hornady bullets and new Winchester brass.

I have some other oddities in my stash but they are really just to have and not to use.

I recently found a box of Hornady .338 200 grain Interlocks that I used to shoot in my 338-06, they were stashed away behind other bullets. I didnt know I still had them and not really sure when Hornady discontinued them.

Off the top of my head, I have 1-3 boxes of…
Remington 308 150 RNCL (300 Savage)
Remington 308 150 PSPCL
Remington 308 180 Bronze Point
Winchester 257 100 Silver Tip (original ST)
Nosler 257 117 PT semi RN
Nosler 429 250 PT Gold
Nosler 338 200 BT
Nosler 358 225 BT
Speer 338 275 RN HotCor
Hornady 375 220 RN
Speer 375 235 semi spitzer HotCor

and probably a few more.

I forgot about my stash of Hornady .375 220 gr FP bullets for my 375 Win!
Still need to load up a 100 or 200 rounds so I can take it out to play and hunt again!
That rifle is just a lot of fun to shoot and to hunt bears with.

HAven't used it much for several years as I lost a certain amount of interest after the stock cracked and was repaired...but is just wasn't as nice with the stock not refinished...now that I have it in Boyd's stocks, I do need to start shooting and packing it again. And put that VX-R 2-7 to good use!
