I have a 357 Max in both a 10 in T/C and a Dan Wesson. They both shot 358 180 grain rifle bullets good. Worked well on Sitka Blacktails.
Still working on my getting 25 posts and being off probation :)
Despite having 2-3 full gun safes I am pretty sure it would be the same thing it has been for the past 40 plus years. 35 FN Whelen with 250 grain Hornadays. I know there are a zillion better this and that but my old Whelen just kills what it is aimed at so why change?
Hate to say it but if you can drive to a place for salmon fishing it will be over crowded and fishing will most likely suck. At this point I do my fishing from a boat in the ocean. But then I admit I am spoiled growing up on K-P in the 60's and early70's
I don't have either one but am thinking of giving both a try. Will most likely go on a 6.5 or a 30-06. What brands/styles of each do you guys like best. And if I get one in 308 can it be used on the 6.5 also? I am pretty sure some of you have used them and will know far more than me so this is...

I think the 375 must of been the choice for the old guides on the rock. I am the current owner of Hal Waugh's Big Nan. His claim was no bear ever needed more than one dose of Nan. Mr 458 seems to have his heart set on talking me out of it but family members have other ideas .................so far.
