    30-06 1-10 Twist

I'd suggest 180 Accubonds for the hogs and you might as well just find a good load for it and stick with it for the deer too. You won't be dissapointed! 10" is a standard twist, you won't have any trouble. Have fun.

my refinished 350 Rem. Mag. 700 classic

Mine kicks a fair bit with the 225 grainers at about 2600fps. It is a scopeless 18.5 inch barelled 7 pound carbine. I think that it probably hits with about 30 ft. pounds of energy with that load. That is less than the 325 WSM and the 338 magnums. I'm thrilled with mine.

    Vital Areas and bullets debates.

There is always a lot of jazz on the subject but ultimately what makes a kill is a hole getting poked through an important area. Logic says that a bigger hole will make the recipient fall dead more quickly. I dislike the Barnes bullets because they are so darned expensive and often don't give...

    30 cal, 165 accubond''s

Just picked up my 2 bags of seconds today from the SPS. I'll get loading on them this weekend. While I was there I noticed that they had some red tipped 7mm Accubond seconds in stock.

kind of a cheap question but have you checked the length to make sure they aren't too long?

    350 Rem Mag---35 whelen

I have a 350 and love it, but I think he'd be better off with the whelen. I actually have an origional 1966 model 600 with the 18.5 inch barrel. It is an ultrafast lightweight flame thrower that works great with the 225 PT bullet. That bullet, however, is almost too long to fit properly in...

Never seen nor heard of the knife. I'm betting that they were merely promotional items.

Just getting into reloading and need some help

Years ago I picked up an RCBS video called "Precisioneered Handloading". It is ok, but nothing spectacular. I think that the section in the front of most major reloading manuals is a great getting started reference as far as safety and what to expect when working up loads. If you are planning...

    Accubond Jam

The question has already been asked, but here it is again: How did the tip get sheered off in the first place? A lead tipped bullet would probably not have had the same problem as it would have just smooshed all over itself, but would have been quite deformed. There must have been some...

    Factory Seconds

The only Nosler's that I shoot that are not seconds are those that I cannot get seconds in. 35-225 Partition, 44-250 PHG, 458-300 PPT. In fact I can't say that I've ever fired a BT or AB that was purchased as a factory first. I always inspect them, as I do occationally find a reject in the...

    CT Accubonds???

CT bullets that are going to be seconds almost always come out before they are shipped off to have the black oxide coating, therefore there are rarely enough seconds after the coating process to make a batch big enough to package for sale. They are generally pulled for variances like hard tamp...

    CT Accubonds???

The last time I asked, which was mid-year 2005, there were no plans to release an offering of CT Accubonds for reloading. I too wish that they would market them as a reloading component. Along the same lines, with the demise of the Fail Safe I would like to see something like Winchesters XP3...

Need laods for Remington 700 30.06

What are you shooting at? Have you considered 180 grainers? I didn't have much luck with 4350 when I was working up my 180 load. I am pushing the 180gr Accubonds out of my 22 inch Rem 700 barrel and making 3 shot groups sub moa with 57.0 of H4831. It is not a hot load by any means, but it is...

    Bullets for 375 JDJ

TJ are you using the 26" rifle barrel or the short pistol length? I'm guessing that with the rifle barrel that there is potential for much higher velocity. With a muzzle velocity of 2100+ you shouldn't have any trouble with the partitions or the accubonds opening out past 200 yards. I've been...

Need help with .30-06, 180 NP and IMR 4831

The physics behind the lighter bullet needing a heavier charge has to do with pressure. There is more effort needed to push a heavier bullet through the barrel, thusly the charge needs to be adjusted accordingly to create comparable chamber pressures and overall performance with different makes...

    Reloading Experience

I started reloading for my .30-06 in 1999 at the age of 25 when one of my job perks was free Nosler Bullets factory seconds. The first test subject was the 125BT out of the .30-06 at a coyote from about 75 yards. I've never been the same since.
