    Canelure?

Actually very few of the boxed Nosler bullets come with a cannelure or band. If you look at the chart http://www.nosler.com/chartpartition.html you will actually find that those shown are the only bullets that are sold in a non-OEM form with cannelures/bands. The only 30 cal with a cannelure...

Picture on the start up page??

there is no primer, thus the hole that you are seeing is the flash hole in the primer pocket.

    Ballistic tips on varmits a.k.a.(groundhogs)

In my understanding the 25 85 BT is not built like a varmint bullet, like the 22 or 6mm varmint BTs with an explosive design, but is placed in the varmint category because of it's light weight.

    Protected point

The .30-180 ppt has a blunt tip. I don't think the ogive is much if any different, could be wrong on that one though. If I loaded .30-180's I'd use them because tips usually get tweaked in the field anyhow.

    Partitons vs. Interlocks

The lead tip is certainly subject to deformity, especially when jacking it in and out of your magazine. I load with Partitions and while big game hunting I jack the shells around everytime I come back to my rig or camp. The tips are always getting bent up. What do I do? I roll them back to...

    6.5MM CT Bullet selection

Naw, the CT stuff is totally dependant on what Winchester feels that they can market. They wont market any 6.5 ammo, and they don't sell the CT bullets for reloading purposes. I think that todbartell hit the nail on the head. But I doubt that Win's relase of a 6.5 cart will happen, as I'm...

Do Partitions shoot to different POI than all other bullets

I'm no expert 8) but I'd ask if you are sure the velocities are the same. My guess is that the Partition is likely causing a higher pressure situation in your chamber and riding out the barrel with more velocity, thus a higher POI on your target.

    44 Mag & 45-70 Partitions.

I bought 2 boxes of the 250gr .44 bullets a few years back and made some mean nasty loads with them for my Ruger revolver. I've yet to take any game with them, but they perform almost like solids, with the exception of a short mushroom head. In the new bullet the lead is totally protected by...

How do you choose your powders?

I honestly think that AlanR is on to something. I WON’T buy #6 unless it has a plethora of data, everything that you could think to put in it. I wouldn't mind paying $50 or maybe more if it were exhaustive. We’re paying top shelf prices for top notch premium bullets; we don’t want to be...

    WHAT ACCUBOND SHOULD BE NEXT?

Is Winchester agreed yet to partner on any of these new bullets for the CT products? Are any of the Accubond CT products going to be marketed for reloading or only in loaded W ammo?

    Ballistic Tip or Partition

I would not only reccomend but urge the use of a Partition in your situation. The BT, IMHO, is just not up to the task for elk, especially in a caliber like the .270. In most situations where you will find elk you may well be shooting through heavy timber or thick brushy areas where a BT may...
