Thanks for all the info. I think 3,300 will be what I am looking for in a 130gr. bullet and that should be no problem. I want to use the Accubond or the Interbond whichever groups the best.
Where did that come from? Calm down and count to 10. I ask a simple question, I didn't mean for this post to get you bent out of shape. I think you need more ventilation in your reloading room or you have been huffing too much Hoppes #9.
One of the loads I mentioned was from a Savage. I just bought a Winchester Model 70 Ultimate Shadow and was looking for some 130gr or 140gr loads and I was hoping to get close to 3400 fps.. How fast is the loads in your dads rifle?
Is it possible to push a 130gr bullet over 3400 fps. in a 270 WSM? I saw three loads on reloadersnest.com with two over 3400 and one at 3540 with a 24" barrel and was wondering if this is possible.
What about the 125gr Sierra Pro Hunter would that be a better bullet or is it about the same? The reason for wanting to shoot lighter bullets is that I have a Winchester in a Coyote Lite and it shoots 125 TNT's under 1/2". I am trying to find a load close to it for longer shots. I just started...
How far should I seat the bullet off the lands to start working up a load? I have some loaded to try that are .001 off the lands is this too close? I usually start at .005 and go from there.
I have used the 150GR. Interbonds in my 300WSM at 3336fps. They shoot 1/2" groups out of my model 70 Winchester. Last year I killed 5 deer and all of them hit the ground in their tracks with the bullets passing through leaving a hole about the size of a half dollar with very little meat damage...
Does anyone have any good loads developed with the 140 Accubonds for the 7mm WSM? Also has anyone shot the Winchester or Federal factory loads and how do they shoot?
Has anyone else had trouble getting their Encore rifles to shoot? My cousin has one in a .308 an I have one in a .300 win mag and neither of them will shoot better than 3" groups, some ammo groups even larger. These are all with factory ammo.
