    32 H&R magnum

I use the 100 gr. Speer HP with the Rem. 5-1/2 primer and 10.0 gr. of H-110 in Fed. brass. The velocity is about 1200 fps in my Ruger Single Six with 5-1/2" barrel. Accuracy runs right at 1" at 25 yards if I do my part.

    best 25-06 bullet for deer

My velocities with 54.5 gr. of IMR-7828 and the 115 gr. Nosler run about 3,050 to 3,100. I have found a variation of 50-75 fps with different lots of 7828. That is plenty of velocity for antelope at 400 yds., which is about my limit.

    best 25-06 bullet for deer

I have used the 115 gr. partition to take a few mule deer and over a dozen antelope. Two friends used it to take cow elk with one-shot kills. I shot a couple of antelope with the 100 gr. partition, but I like the 115 better. The load always shoots under 1" at 100 yards, and often under .5"...

    223 Rem Dies?

My favorite dies are Forster/Bonanza. They are about twice the price of a standard die set, but with the minimal bullet run-out, I think they are worth the price. I use Hornady dies if I can not get the Forster/Bonanza dies.

    Small Base Dies

I had a similar problem with one of the early Ruger 77's in 6mm Rem. The chamber is a little short so that even with the FL die touching the shellholder the fired cases were too long to chamber. If this is the problem, you can either turn a little off the bottom of the die or the top of the...

120 BT out of the 7-30 waters

Sorry I am slow getting back. I am remodeling my office and had the computer disassembled. I started using the 7-30 Waters about 12 years ago. The 120 gr. BT did a lot of damage and gave little penetration on antelope. However, I understand that Nosler changed the construction of the BT...

120 BT out of the 7-30 waters

My favorite load for the 7-30 Waters in the T/C is the 140 gr. BT with 34.0 gr. of Win. 748, Rem. brass, and a Fed. 210 primer. I have had no problem seating this bullet 0.030" from the lands. I use the 12" Hunter barrel. This is a great antelope load. I have found that the 120 gr. BT is a...
