LOL, yeah. If only the Canadian Senate was at least an elected house with 2 or 4 seats assigned per province. I think that would even it up a bit, but am doubtful of it ever happening.

Thanks, for posting to this pictures. I really enjoyed seeing the wild country. Glad you had a good time even tho you didn't fill the tag.
As you've said, the hardest trophy won is always the sweetest, sometimes the memory marks on rifle or skin are the only things we take away from a memorable...
I've only got a 1/4, but it's enough to hunt a little bit.
I had a couple guys and a young kid about 12-14 shooting geese over the slough across the road from my 40 acre oat field. They having a hard time retrieving a goose from about 50 yds from shore. They were using a fishing rod with a big...
Dr Mike, as I'm sure you already know the laws governing firearms in Canada are wacky/illogical, written by people who had a good idea of what they wanted to do, but not understanding what they were doing at the same time.
The AR 180B(not the sterling built ones, those are prohibited and never...
Alot of hunters only have access to public lands, which get crowded and are subject to alot of hunting pressure. Meanwhile, alot of farmland is closed to hunting due to a variety of things.
Most farmers have alot of negitive things happen to their property and stock as a result of people...
4 years ago, I sold a very nice 7mm Rem mag, Sako 75 SS/syn to my brother to pay for a honeymoon. Now I won't say I regret that, but I did miss that rifle and have looked for one for the past 2 years, especially after shooting it again a couple times in 07 or 08.
So, I sold my AR(dang things...
That 160 Accubond has a very high BC, it's listed @ .531 in the range you're using it, but there are guys running that bullet a bit faster than normal and seeing a decent increase in BC at higher velocities.

Has anybody here ever played with M14's?
We in Canuckistan are not supposed to be able to get or use them being the fearsome tool of war that they are....snicker now  ... However, Norinco of the PRC bought the tooling from Winchester's wartime production and proceeded to make and sell an...
LOL, I would agree to an extent.
IF Winchester had ceased development of new products in 1963 and kept the old M70 to those specs I would have loved to keep riding on those wheels...... Even if only the 4 magnums they had developed up until then were all they were chambered in: 264 win, 300...
Here is a rifle that would make a nice 358 NM.
I found a Husquvarna 1600 mauser rebarreled to 270 wby, it's only 24" tho. It comes with redding dies, 2 boxes of 2x brass and rings.
Somebody wants to trade me for my 375 ICL. I'd take the husky along with cash or a Ruger single six he's got for...
Very nice, all weather rifle.
I'm sure the 338 win mag will be a nice handling, yet hard hitting medium bore rifle.
Being a savage it has the ability to be whatever you want it to be within 5 minutes.... 264 win, 358 NM, any of the RCM's or 375 Ruger or wildcat versions of the Ruger.

I started hunting at 12 with my dad's lever action M88 winchester in 308 with a 4X tasco on it. I bought my own rifle the next summer a Savage 110E with that awful yellow stock and a 4X tasco on it too.
Shot a half dozen deer with that rifle and hated it because it was heavy and the stock had...
How come the neck on that 308 round is shiny????
Do you use the hand held neck turner or a bench trimmer style??
I use the Forester hand held, it isn't as consistent as the trimmer style I find, but if I try to do every case in the same steps and number of turns is seems to be very...
My opinion of the 300 WSM is much the same as what you think of hunting with SMK's......
It isn't merited, the 300 WSM is a fine round, but I've had an aversion to it since it's inception. I never could figure out why I would pay 30-40% more for ammo that goes 100 FPS slower than the original...
Well, there is the 358 Norma Mag. If you do find one, it's usually in a semi custom, or sporterized mauser. As well, the guys that could afford the brass from Norma often built guns on par with the cost of such a round.
