Congrats thats a fine mule deer this year was the first time out west for me I got a antelope in Wyoming and I hope to go mule deer hunting in Wyoming next year or the year after
I'm lookin to replace the stock on my Remington 700 XCR because I dont care for the rubber molding on it I dont mind the camo finish but Im thinking of a HS Precision stock and was wondering if it will be a drop in fit or would there be some modifactions that will need to be done?
Does anyone know when the Nosler 180 grain Partitions for a 300 RUM be in stock? Almost everthing for the 300 RUM is out of stock I think the only one in stock is 180 grain Accubond so I might have to try the Accubonds
If I get drawn for a tag I'm goin to Wyoming for antelope taking either my 300 RUM or 300 WSM Just hope I get a tag wont know for sure until July 10th Also might go to Maryland for whitetail deer in archery season
THANKS for all the replies I currently use partitions in both guns but gonna pick up a box of accubonds and see if they shoot any better. I'm HAPPY with partitions but with all the GREAT reviews I thought I'd see what the Accubonds were like
The only reason I like that gun over a XCR is the black matte finish on the barrel I like the protection of the XCR I just dont like the shinny finish I'm afraid of game seeing glare from it I sent my model 700 XCR in 300 WSM and got camo dipped to get rid of the glare
I just called my dealer to get a price on a Remington Custom Shop Model 700 AWR II in 338 RUM price is $3,088.00   looks like I'll get get a XCR
