Knowing every rifle is like a fingerprint , I would like to know who has followed Nosler's data down to their tested COAL and had good results from a factory rifle ?
Just curious to know what were some of your first experiences and results of your first time out ?
I'm about to get started...
Thanks guys, I didn't know if the ammonia would be bad for the ammo components.
I bought some from the Walmart , it's a white paste in a squeeze bottle.
I tried it on some old cases , not too bad, it put the shine to 'em.
But it does have ammonia and it's strong !!!!
Has anyone used brasso for cleaning up Nosler seconds?
It seems here lately the sportsman's warehouse is selling seconds at premium prices, I mentioned it to them.
I bought another 50 ea. of Nosler 3006 brass , the first lot I bought looks great , but this new lot is tarnished .
Lot to lot is...
I found the reason why to match the FL die to once fired brass.
Bottle neck brass will expand to the chamber shoulder and then spring back a little.
I believe this is why my once fired case still chambers in my rifle but its now closer to the chamber shoulder and matching this will keep it...
When you say FL sizing to exact fired headspace, are saying set the die to what a fired case measures ?( Datum to rim) .
With the o ring , are you saying to lightly snug lock ring down in place and hold it , while you bring the die up or down ?
I took this doe around 80 yards with the scirocco 150gr 3006 bonded this last season.
My shots where I hunt are mainly taken near dark , so I need a good blood trail.
Her hind quarters took a seat after that shot.
Thanks for the link .
Can you resize the same piece of brass over and over again until the correct shoulder bump is achieved and then actually reload that same piece of brass ?
Thanks for sharing this.
I haven't thoroughly understood heads pace yet .
When the chamber shoulder and the case shoulder touch in a bolt rifle and the bolt closes on it , is that good or bad ?
I have read so many things it gets confusing .
