I have a Remington 721 in .270 win. and i know what you mean since it doesn't matter how little i seat the bullet i've never touched the lands.I just seat to fit magazine and she groups great.This is actually the only rifle i've ever owned where i can not contact the lands.

Actually small base dies will resize cases a tad smaller than factory spec's for ease of operation in semi/levers if sticking is a problem.I used to have a BAR in 30-06 that i had to use small base dies on or extraction was a problem.My BAR now in 308 seems to work just fine with full length...

I use the 225 gr. accubond in my .338 Win. Mag. and they group really good.
