I tried neck sizing before. It's nice having a loading short cut,but I also ran into problems with some rounds that were very hard to chamber.I quickly gave up on it because I didn't see any benefit in accuracy, but I did see it to be more of an issue with how inconsistent my rounds chambered.Now...
Expect prices to increase slightly from what it was before. https://www.internationalsportsman.com/ ... -supplies/
Due to the increased cost inputs for manufacturing ammunition, it is necessary to increase ammunition prices for all shipments, including backorders, beginning May 1, 2021...
I didn't weigh him,I'd say probably around 450lbs.I got 186lbs of boned out meat, which is more than a big cow elk I killed years back. The meat is excellent just like elk.
I used the 180gr Ballistic Tip out of my 300 Win Mag to kill this red stag.My load was 73.5grs of Hunter,mv a little over 3100fps.Shot the stag in the onside shoulder, bullet left a silver dollar size exit hole just behind the offside shoulder.Judging it's performance,I have great confidence in...
I was getting 3100fps with 58.5grs of Big Game,WLRM primers,Win cases with a 150gr Nosler Ballistic Tip out of my 24" barrelled CZ 30-06.I'd back off that load about a grain and work up,but it's really easy to get 3000fps with that powder.
My velocities were running around 2950fps with the 168gr Ballistic Tip out of my 23&24" barreled 30-06's with 55.5grs of Big Game.It was the only powder I tried that would get me above 2900fps out of my 23" and group well.I also use either a WLRM or Federal GM215M Primers.
I use the Lee Manual more than any one manual I have.It is a copy and paste of other manuals and shows more loads. Here is an example of one of the pages
I don't think you put enough powder in the 7mag.I can get 3200fps with 140gr bullets easy in the 7mag.I know around 65.0grs of IMR or Accurate 4350 will.I've done it with the right powder with 150gr bullets.Personally I like Reloader 26 for all bullet weights in the 7mag.This is my go to load.
I've only shot deer with both the 160gr Accubond and the 150gr Ballistic Tip with my 7mags.For deer,I like the 150gr BT better than any bullet I've ever shot.I get exits from both bullets with similar wound channels, but the 150gr BT gives me just a tad bigger wound channel and quicker kills on...
What cartridges are you planning on using it in?The burnrate charts put it right between IMR-7828 and H-1000. https://www.ramshot.com/wp-content/uplo ... .0_WEB.pdf
I've only tried Magpro in my 300WSM.I never got to max loads with it.Recoil was horrible for the velocity I was getting. Some powders are like that in certain cartridges.Might work real good in my 7mags,but just never tried it.
With 160gr Accubonds,I long used 66.0grs of Reloader-22.With that same bullet and Reloader-26,I go up 1.5grs to 67.5grs.Same thing with 150gr Ballistic Tips,67.5grs of Reloader-22,up 1.5grs of Reloader-26 to 69.0grs.These loads shoot well in all four of my 7mags.
Try Reloader 26.My 7mag has a 26" barrel, but this powder should get you over 3000fps.I have taken it up to 70.0grs without any pressure signs in my rifle with the 150gr Ballistic Tip.I settled for the 69.0gr load because it's accurate and plenty fast. The Partition tends to be a little sticky and...
I also use Winchester cases.Check here for some load data. They used a 24" barrel and Remington cases.I have found Remington cases to have just a little less volume.
