You won't regret it. Up till the Garmin Chrono, I would have called my SuperTrickler the best piece of gear I have purchased in a long time. My works awesome. Accurate as all get out and really quick!
I'll have to go check my load book, but most of the time I stuck right around Nosler's data for a few different bullets. I might have needed a little extra or less powder to attain book speeds, but that rifle has shot just about everything well.

I think it’ll work just as well as a 243. Don’t overlook the Hornady 105 BTHP as a killer in your bolt guns. The 108 ELD works great as well. Awesome little cartridge.
I’m with the others. 160 AB leaving the muzzle over 2800 is well suited for elk to 500 yards if it’s accurate. It’s a great bullet. Many elk have been packed cause if it’s effectiveness for our group.

I use mystery ranch packs myself. Most all of the hunting line uses the same frame with different bags attached. Pick the bag size you want and know the frame is the same from their smallest to largest bag.
