I stopped at my LGS on the way to work this morning. I don't get to stop as often as I used to so I do occasionally to see what's new. I immediately saw a Remington 7600 on the shelf and the tag said it was a 270. It was in really good shape so I filled out the paperwork and picked it up after work.
It came with a scope base installed but no scope. I had a Leupold Rifleman 4-12×40 already and put it on.
There are a few safe/hunting marks on the right side of the stock but other than that its pretty clean. I cleaned it and the bore was fairly clean as well. I thought
the wood grain was pretty, too. The production codes indicate it was made in August of 1994.
I'm not a big 270 guy usually, but this one spoke to me and the price was extremely good, especially considering the prices on Gunbroker.
If possible, I'm gonna try to get it sighted in and maybe hunt with it this season.
