Don, in my 300 H&H I’m doing a tick over 2900 with 200 grain Sierra GKs with H4831SC. It’s been very accurate to 500 so far. Sometimes I get stuck on a specific bullet and forget there are others out there. Mine shot 180’s pretty decent, but I had it in my brain I wanted to shoot 200’s, so...
They’re hard to get ahold of. I agree though. Those are one of my favorite hunting bullets. If they shoot, I’m usually beyond happy. I have a 25-06 that big holes them at 3400 with RL26. It acts way bigger than it is.
Great bullet report. I used the 130 Interbond on a few deer from my 270 WSM around 20 years ago. It was a great set up. Never recovered a bullet though, but all deer were recovered. :ROFLMAO:
Cool report on those bullets. I don’t have a 452 revolver yet so I haven’t messed with the, I kinda have it bracketed with 429 on the left and 475 and 500 on the right.
Great info though. I have a blast with the handguns.
Starting to be the hang of the big 50. So far I’ve been working at 200. Need to make a different target for 300 and 400 but it’s coming along.
I checked the speed on my load with the 700 grain gov’t bullet using 110 grains of 1.5F Swiss. Makes a solid wack when it touches down.
The H4350 should work okay with the 150’s. Typically in the 270 WSM I used slower powders from H4831 all the way to Retumbo.
Nosler shows data for IMR4350 so I’d feel pretty comfortable starting there and working up with your rifle.
I ran the numbers through QL without changing anything. From my experience, you'll likely be a 100 FPS above these numbers while staying within the 65K PSI range. I would have to mess with the Ba of the RUM to get the numbers to jive. Anyhow, I hope this gives you a place to start. Scotty...
