Well DrMike if I had an 300 PRC round laying around I could mock up a 300 PRC caliber wildcat based off the 460 Wby case. Just need to blow the neck out to .530”. Finding a .532” barrel blank might be an issue😁

Any of the sizing waxes work or a lanolin/isopropyl mix. Hornady 1 shot is only good if you like the sound of an 16 penny nail being pulled out of an oak board. That what a case sounds like with 1 shot.

Is it the first round or last round in the magazine or it doesn’t matter? The rear of the follower is snagging on something not allowing it to rise evenly.

This little plot went from this to this I took it from my blind. There is a oak to the right and a crab apple to the left in the background. The deer just walk around the outside of it , no one picture of a deer in it. I moved my cellular camera to the oak this past weekend.

I do have a Leupold VX3i that’s living a happy life on my 338 Lapua.

That rifle flat out shoots 250gr TTSX , 300gr TSX , and 330gr MTH , which are also monos.

My Mark 4 LR/T needed the same overhaul. That was supposed to be their robust scope , didn’t take long for the 30-378 make it cry uncle.

I’m kinda surprised they didn’t offer something in 243 Win. A lot of people I know start their youngsters out with that cartridge.

Annealing after each firing will reduce the work hardening of the necks.

Unfortunately I had the job of putting down lame cattle when growing up. Not an envious job.

I thought the 180gr AB out if my 30-378 was on the soft side. I will add that they were overruns that had a cannelure. Wether this aided it a quicker expansion on the front end of the bullet , I can’t say for sure.

Never found the need to slug the barrel as I don’t intend to run cast in it.
