My 338-06 does right at 100fps slower with that same 175 HH! Our rifles are twins! ha I use 58gr IMR 3031 ( I would never have thought it!) and it clusters them too. I really like the looks of that 338 RPM too. Good show old chap!

What make is your 300 in Pard? Long action/longthroat? Factory or handloads? I've shot a wad of game in my short life, and the majority were shot with 300WM and the Barnes 180 XBT. 165/168s work fine, but guaranteed shoulder poppers start at 180! ha Have a ball Pard!

I shot the 175 HH over 58gr /IMR 3031 seated to 3.26" (top groove) with rifle backed off to 50 "pds of torque. Went into a nice, clover leaf a tad less than 3/4" for 3. Choice Recipe for that bullet. In new Winchester cases, 200 NBT, I worked up to 56 gr/Varget/Fed LR , nice tiny group...
