    260 Remington

Pretty hard to beat powders like the 4350's, 4831's and IMR 7828 SSC and similar burn rate in the 260 Rem.

    Back in the saddle

Congratulations to president Trump on his third straight win! It was too big to for them to rig it this time.

I appreciate the respectful spirit here

It's been good here, once and a while someone will ruin a thread but that is quite rare. I wish there were more people posting but we do have a lot of great guys here. I do frequent Rokslide but limit things to subjects that are interesting. The 223 elk/moose/bear cultists there are quite...

    Trying something new!

Big whitetails there, good luck! Hope you have lots of warm clothes lol. Bonus points for your fast twist 270 WSM, when a gun likes the 165 gr ABLR it's one of the best 277 cal bullets out there. How long is your barrel? Seems like good speed already.

    260 Remington

Nice, those Hunters are great rifles! Mine's a Stainless Lite left hand. I went with a M+ magazine and modified the bolt stop and can load out to 3.00" or so. It's super accurate too.

    260 Remington

I have the same components waiting for my Tikka 260 Rem so would find this interesting as well. Since you mention a 22.4" barrel do you have a Tikka or a Sako? I've had a 260 of some sort since 1997 and it's never disappointed, such a good cartridge. The Tikka is my favorite of them and the one...

Lipsey's Ruger 77 in 35 Whelen! (not buying it)

Both nice but I really like that laminate stocked Whelen. That's a beautiful gun, I really love laminate stocks especially the grey ones.

308 Winchester 165 gr Solid Base Whitetail Country

Yep we were up pretty high and it's starting to come. Won't be too long and we won't be able to get in up there till late spring.

Franchi Momentum article in American Hunter

Looks like a good start, that Ruger American might be in trouble. That Franchi seems like a lot of gun for the money.

    2024 Hunting Season

I was able to get this young buck yesterday evening, believe it or not this is my first mule deer buck. Shot was from 190 yards using the 170 gr Ballistic Tip from my 6.8 Western. Buddy and I were sitting on a timbered ridge separating two clearcuts. All of a sudden he started growing but I...

308 Win 180 grain Norma Bondstrike

Looks really good Scotty, I'm a big fan of Norma bullets and brass. These look really good at 308 speeds. Guys use them in the 30 cal magnums too.

    30.06 , 180 grain PSP

Thanks for the clarification. You're right it does seem a bit odd that it didn't make it through, there's enough mass for it to have made it to the far side. Could very well have hit a tree first.

    accubond 160 grain

Seems like if you recover an Accubond it's always against the hide on the far side like this one. Did the job perfectly I would say.

    30.06 , 180 grain PSP

The bullet hung together well that's for sure. Am I reading it right that the bullet didn't get through the front shoulder bone?
