I use a magnum primer with ball powders regardless of cartridge (excluding .223 Rem). A 150 ELDX at 2790 is no joke. BC of .574 carries 1800 fps waaaaaay out there. P

Thanks, but I switched to the 162 ELDX in my 7mm Rem Mag, Nosler priced me out. A guy on another forum made the claim so I posted the question here when Nosler didn’t answer the phone. P

I have a lot more Hunter than BG, I’ll give it a go. I get 2780 with 150 ELDX and superb accuracy, BG powder. Interesting that Nosler’s max is of Hunter is 49.5, which indicates a dangerous load. Thanks SJB. P

I finally found some 150 gr AccuBonds, now I need some load data. Nosler doesn’t list Big Game in their data, and that’s my fav, so I’m hoping someone has some data. I have plenty of Hunter, too, which delivers the highest velocity of the powders listed by Nosler. P

Nothing you shoot will know the difference between plus or minus 100 fps anyway. P

Why did Nosler drop Hunter powder data for 180 grain bullets? It’s the bee’s knees. P

And I load for the family (four shooters, multiple rifles) so I go through a lot of components. It’s tough sometimes.

My loads, for each bullet weight listed, based on Nosler’s book max, are all !DANGEROUS LOAD - DO NOT USE! R-P brass, WLRM primer, if it makes any difference. That’s funny.

Big Game is Varget plus 100 fps.

Why no Big Game? That’s my powder of choice for 120-150 grains. Varget is a close second, no Varget either?

Hornady Available and affordable. Heck, I drive by the factory every other week. Nosler bullets were all I shot for years. Can’t load ‘em if you can’t find ‘em. P
