    257 Wby and 90gr Hammers

They shouldn't be a problem. I'm shooting Hammers in my 223, 22-250, 243 and 280, all of them shoot bug hole groups. Easiest load development I've ever had as well.

    280 Remington / 140 grain / Reloader 17

I've had excellent results with RL17 in my 280 with lighter bullets. With 140g BT I started at 52g and went up to 55g, there I had slight ext. mark, I backed off to 53.5g were I had a 3/4" group, average velocity of just over 3000 fps and a sd of 10. Model 70 clone with 24" barrel. My go to...

    New chronograph time..... update****

I would agree, but I have found that it only changes the poi not the group size. Once I find the velocity and group size I'm happy with, I take it off and shoot again to confirm. I have plenty of components and enjoy target shooting during load work up, so it's not an issue. If a guys short on...

    New chronograph time..... update****

A few years ago I looked at the LabRadar for around $600 and the Magneto speed sporter for under $200. Since I'm cheap I went with the Magneto speed and it works great. The only problem I had was with the original strap, so I called customer service and they sent 2 more at no cost. No problems...

    Ramshot Magnum 280 AI

I believe it will be fine. There are a couple threads here of guys that have shot deer with Hammers, one recently was nhenry with his 280ai, maybe he will come along and give more details. Lots of info over on the Hammer time forum as well.

    Hammer Crowd ?

I do also. I have a target where I shot 3 shots each with no crimp, 1/4 turn crimp and a 1/2 turn crimp. The groups got tighter as I increased the crimp.

    Ramshot Magnum 280 AI

Excellent! Hammers are impressive for sure, I'm shooting 140g Absolute Hammers in my regular 280 Rem and 80g Hammer Hunters in my 243 and 64g in my 22-250. All are fast with excellent accuracy.

    What you got for Christmas?

I got 500 LR primers from my son, he went into a gun shop near his home in Arizona and they would only sell him 100. So, he and his father in law went back and bought 100 each 2 more times for a total of 500. LOL
