    30 nosler 185gr vld/ 180 ballistic tip

Those are virgin. When I bought these Nosler cases from Midway they sent 3 different lot numbers. That one lot weighed 3.5gr more than the rest...and was 3.5 gr less water capacity. I was wanting to see what the velocity difference was. It was about 35 fps. I shot those for foulers. This is...

    30 nosler 185gr vld/ 180 ballistic tip

Well, it looks like this load is holding repetitively, which is a requirement for my OCD. Lol I could get much more velocity with RL26 or n570 but with the cost of barrel life. This H1000 is cool burning and should be stable for a big temp range. Besides, I have about 75lb I bought during...

    30 nosler 185gr vld/ 180 ballistic tip

The barrel is getting broken in and seasoned. I'm almost done firing virgin brass. Today got out to 200yards with 185 Juggernauts and H1000. In case you are wondering, I adjusted my scope after. When I shoot out my aim point I cant see a precise aim point, lol.

Retumbo and Alliant in stock at Powder Valley...

I either forgot or didn't know WA outlawed ARs. That sucks! Aren't they a "commonly used firearm" ?? Is there a lawsuit to reverse or appeal that horsesh!t ??

Retumbo and Alliant in stock at Powder Valley...

I get sick at my stomach when I see $400 for 8lb of Retumbo. A couple of years ago it was $180. This isn't the ceiling either. Manufacturers and retailers are loving new reloaders who started after 2019.

Retumbo and Alliant in stock at Powder Valley...

Two years and ten months ago I bought Rl26 for $24.37 a pound and RL33 at $26.99 a pound from Powder valley! Also, they didn't charge tax either, now they do.

    Redding seater deforming the ogive

New lapua brass has way too much neck tention. I run them through a mandrel before seating virgin lapua brass.

    Peanuts for the Jays

Would they prosecute you if you discharged a firearm because a criminal broke your door down and assaulted you family?

    Peanuts for the Jays

I wonder if they are designated an invasive species in your area? You might be within the law, never hurts to inquire if you are within the law. If so you'd be doing the native birds a favor, possibly helping to preserve the natural ecosystem and possibly helping your regional agricultural economy.

    Peanuts for the Jays

Wow, I just read some on those parakeets, they're on the list in 7 states for agricultural pest. Outlawed ownership in some countries. I was wondering if they're outing native songbirds. Might be time to get a nice pellet rifle.

    Peanuts for the Jays

My favorite is the one who is picky, lol. He brings one all the way back and returns it, then picks the heaviest one.

    Peanuts for the Jays

I was always told that Jay's are related to Crows. They are smart but I think crows are borderline geniuses of the bird world.

What kind of Jay's are those, Stellers Jay maybe?. I have always lived east of the Mississippi. We have blue Jay's but they are white blue and some black.

    300 RUM 220 Scenars N570

The only ABLR I've ever tried is 150gr in a 270wby. If anyone is familiar with weatherby chambers, 270wby freebore is. 378" . They shot well under moa, mostly 5 shot at 200 yards from a hunting bag around .6 moa. I seated them very long. I calculate they were still jumping about .120 to 140 off...

    30 nosler 185gr vld/ 180 ballistic tip

Went out in -4° temps to sight in my scope with H1000 and 185 Juggernaut. Needless to say, this load is a little too warm. Going to back down a few grains.

    30 nosler 185gr vld/ 180 ballistic tip

I have several barrels worth of n570. I'm a fan. I use n570 for 27 Nosler and 150gr Ballistic tips, and in 300 RUM with 230gr OTM. Outstanding velocity and accuracy. 200yards from a hunting bag. Might have to try it in this barrel.
