I was up quite a ways. The one photo shows we how high. Was using 9X zoom and then cropping the video.
Did some deer awhile back and was a lot closer.
They could see and hear the drone but didn’t seem to be bothered by it.
Gotta admit I was curious to see how they would act.
Caught one of the local herds up on the ridge. Was glad to see the drone didn’t bother them at all.
Interesting bunch. Goofy, the strange looking bull was with them until last week but I think the little spike ran him off so he could play herd bull until the bigger boys show up.
Two cameras on...
Advertised as 12 miles but keeping drone in line of sight is a requirement so not realistic.
Battery life would probably limit that.
Will get a warning if connection with the controller starts to weaken. If disconnected or battery gets low it will automatically return to and land at the launch...
Finally able to capture some images of wildlife with the drone. I was curious how the deer would react but for the most part they ignored the buzzing flying object.
Finally able to get to the beach after Summer steelhead. The beach is two miles from home so no real excuse for not going more often.
In order to access the beach we have to enter through the paper mill where I used to work.
Only present and former employees are allowed to enter so not unusual...
FWIW I had a bunch of Ballistic Tip bullets years ago that for some reason a lot of the tips were broken. I didn’t notice any difference in how they grouped (hovering around 1” at 100 yards) but not sure how it would affect performance upon contact.
I wasn’t expecting to see so many pelicans but was happy to see the little geese.
Was reading the pelicans get a lump on their beaks during breeding season and then it falls off.
