Gunner46 that is interesting. Varget and RL-15 work great for all three of mine with 120s-150s. With 160s I had to use RL-19. Just shows they’re all a little different.

Have three barrels that need their whitetail wings.
First will be the 7STW with a blazing hot moly coated 140 NAB.
Second will be with the 6x47Lapua and 100 NPTs
Third will be the 6x47Lapua with 105 Berger HVLDs
Fourth will be 6x47Lapua with 85gr Sierra GK HPBT
Finally, #5 will be 7mm-08 with...

This is typical of what my daughter's little inexpensive savage/scope combo did at first as well. What has been said here by all is true.
#1 You picked arguably the most reasonably priced, most accurate combo on the market.
#2 You picked the 7mm-08 cartridge, that's arguably the best balance...
Depends on the cost? Any brass competing with Lapua brass or that can be made easily from Lapua brass has to be a bargain. Having said that, there was a family of 1000yard BR shooters in the recent past that found the old WW brass as good as anything else out there. The records and trophies...
When I was a kid, there were essentially two groups of buddies I hunted with and/or associated with....those with old 30-06s or those "lucky" enough to have 7mags. All us 30-06 boys coveted those 7mags. Strange cause us '06 boys never ever tracked those smallish GA deer...but those 7mag boys...
That is really nice work Tack. I would definitely try a slower powder for the 7mag. No faster than 7828. Also make sure you jump the ABLR.
