Just hypothetical as I don't plan on doing it.
I was reading about sizing 308 brass to 7mm-08.
Can 7mm-08 brass be sized up to 308?
If so, if you sized 308 to 7mm-08,
could you size the same brass back to 308? Would this work the brass too much, leading to premature failing?

Lot of work and stress on brass for as easy as it is to get both cases, case life might be shorter working brass like that without annealing?

I was kind of thinking that might be. I only asked as I read where somebody made 308 into 7mm-08, then found a good supply of 7mm-08. He was going to discard the 308 brass because it didn't have the right head stamp and I was wondering if it would even be worthwhile to convert them back if it could be done.
Just bought a 7mm-08 and I was happy to find brass for it at the LGS.
The only brass I've ever reformed was 30-30 to 7-30 Waters.

The neck lengths are different so ideally you just stick with the right stuff.

Sizing down from 308 Winchester to 7mm-08 the necks get thick and could need to be neck turned if the chamber is on the tight side, or fine if the chamber is on the fat side. A lot of work IMO when the necks need to be turned.
