I once drug my new neighbors 120 pound rottweiler around my yard all in an attempt to get it to release my sisters dog. I eventually came to my senses and put one round of .357 into the dirt next to it's head. All dogs immedietely scattered.
I wonder how fast they could be thrown? 3200 would make one mean long range rig. But with that .6 plus b.c. I guess 2900 would even make a pretty good rig.
I have some .224 diameter bullets to trade or I could do cash.
these are for a .222 so if you had extra tsx's I would need less nothing more than 53 grains.
I also have 140 grain .284 sst bullets that I could trade.
I caught a nicely mushroomed federal 158 in four jugs today.
I tried to catch the 150 grain nosler but that also at four jugs and kept going....I have them loaded in 38 special cases and .357 so as soon as I drink eight gallons of milk I'm going to re-run the test.
Very cool..what barrel length are you using? Any chance that you could back off 150 yards and shoot a bunch of jugs so that I could see what my .222 would do with that bullet?
How sure are you that you are getting 3100 fps out of the test ammo? Those bullets don't really look like they expanded much less than the 22 250 test! Can't wait to get my grimmy hands on some of these for the .222. Are they going to be available in packs of 50 or 100?
hmmm...my old man used to shoot deer with that 50 grain bullet with the same effect. When I hunt i sometimes have brush covering vitals so I want enough bullet to punch through shoulders without breaking out shelling out 50 cents a piece for a tsx....
And judging by what I saw out of the 63...
Good is there a place that I can order some of these tips? I think that I can get them going at least 2900. What is the minimum speed that I need for them to open up?
On various boards I have noticed that some people have been shooting deer with the 63 grain sierra varmiter bullets. This year I tried to use this bullet and while I didn't lose any deer using this bullet when fired from my .222 remington I think that I realized that this bullet is too frangible...
I want to run the 115 grain ballistic tip in my 25-06 for a deer and black bear load. 0-400 yards.
I would like to get between 3120 and 3200 fps or more if possible. I have imr 4831,reloader 19,22,25, aa magpro, retumbo, h1000 and imr 7828 ssc. What does quick load say that I can do with these...
