Same here. Part of this, as you mention Vince, is the HUGE range of bullet weights available. On the other hand, I've sort of settled on the 210 PT, and am believing more and more firmly if that were the only bullet available, it would still be one of the most versatile cartridges out there...
Congrats on the new rifle!
I have a pair of South Carolina-manufacture Model 70s, a .270 Featherweight and a .338 Sporter. The new trigger lacks the graceful simplicity of the old Winchester trigger, but it is very good nevertheless. Both of mine break right at three pounds. As advertised...
Congrats on your successful hunt, and once again, great job on that stock! That rifle looks pretty much perfect laid over a pronghorn.
If I may ask, what is your digiscoping setup? Curious as to scope, camera and attachment?

I achieved 3,050 with the 130 PT using 55.5 grains H4350 with Federal 210M primers in my M70 Featherweight, which also has a 22" barrel. However, 55.0 grains was more accurate in this rifle and still produces over 3k. Also an extremely stable load, clocking 3,020 in July at about 85F...
Yeah, Vince, I've done the same thing with springs and even action screws, and it could yet come to that. But this one is so small and such a specific profile that I figured it was worth looking into the real deal. I haven't even measured thread pitch or diameter but I've run into non-standard...
Thank you gents. Numrich has the pre-'64 screw, but not the post-'64... not sure there's much difference. I'll have to investigate this.
Scotty, the rifle had sat untouched since it was new, and with all the factory gunk the small jam nuts froze. When attempting to loosen them, one of the...
Question for you guys... Anybody know where to get the trigger plunger screw for a New Haven style trigger? Not sure that's the official description but it's the screw that adjusts overtravel as well as compresses the spring to determine pull weight. This is on a late-90s Featherweight. I...
Shame that such a classic rifle was cut up like that, never mind the price they're asking. Anyway, we were north and west of Oklahoma City. Part of the state I'd never seen before, so it was good to see some new country. At the time, the wheat appeared to be in pretty decent shape. There's...
I was introduced to some version of this in a small, family-run restaurant along the German-French border in 2012. This recipe is as close as I've come to being able to duplicate it.
2 pork chops of your choice (wild or domestic, bone-in or boneless, take your pick)
2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
