Yes that will do Guy and your Model 700 CDL with its 26 inch barrel gets it to really show its stuff. Who does not like a Rifle with light recoil and flat shooting.

Yes Bluedot in .223Rem makes me wonder why someone would buy a .22 Mag or 22 Hornet rifle when brass is so cheap for .223 Rem. and Bluedot work very well. I also like how the barrel stays cool after a lot of rounds.

Of those two I would go Standard 25-06, but since you asked I would pick neither and go 6.5-284Win in a long action if it was Me. Always wished Remington Sendero II Model 700 came in 6.5-284Win with a 1-8 twist barrel.

In your budget range I would look to get a 3x9 40mm scope 1 inch tube and almost all manufacture have a good 3x9 40mm scope because they are so versatile. A great buy is Burris FF II with a ballistic plex in 3x9 40mm
