I kind of had the same question in this thread: http://forum.nosler.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=33456
This is the article that I thought was from 6mmbr talking about the effects of sonic cleaning-

Thanks! It was the classic model, least expensive. I wish the figure would have popped out a little more. it's a subtle secret that you have to look for in order to see it.
Put everything together and had to take some more off the ebony tip in order for it to be floated. grrr... Thankfully the dry climate here allows for multiple coats of tru-oil in a day.
Here's a before and after of the stock. I'm happy with it and happy with the experience. There is a bit of...
Wondering out loud, and someday I may test it though I think the variables of this thought has been tested independently in one way or another.
Conventional wisdom is once fired brass (same rifle) needs a minor bump in powder to achieve the same, or better accuracy. Something like the energy...
I really like my x33 vortex razor HD. I used it on my archery hunt and recording prairie dog shots. It's small and powerful- I did a review of it on here last September-October. Can't remember how much it was so I am sorry if it's over your limit.
The hardest thing about this scope is the reminder that it probably looks a lot worse and exaggerated in picture than it actually is. Those gouges in the savage makes me think they are as big as the royal gorge bit I have to remind myself that they are probably no bigger than half the diameter...
Take your fps and divide it by your powder charge to get your fps per grain. Take that value and divide it by .1 and you'll see that per .1, your in the single digits of fps. At that point, variance of neck tension causes more of an effect that could be an issue at long distances.
Ok, I got one thanks to this thread... and darn it. just darn it my most accurate rifle has the worst looking bore- though I am sure that it just looks bad in the pics, there are gouges about every inch down the bore that go all the way around the bore.
Even have a gouge running running...
I might not sell these 6.5 129's I have so I was looking at getting the vld seating stem I keep hearing about. Did a Google search, came up with the Wilson seating stems and the Redding micrometer seaters. Before I drop $40 on the micrometer, is that the stem that everyone is referring to? I...
Fun! Estes park in Colorado is nice. Not sure if your staying in hotels or not, but with the legalization of weed, the less expensive hotels in co have a perma-smell of pot. I'm sure the more expensive hotels are better.
I had great hopes in January when I entered for a lot of tags, but recent events led me to pull every app except one. My only thought now is, what if things happen one way and I need to get away... Filling a tag would be good. If things happen the other way, things could be better for...
The case weight in the results is less the amount of bullet that is seated- the 53.9 gr is entered into one of the (many) parameters. To put it another way, QL calculates the capacity (the 45.4 value) by subtracting the volume of the seated bullet from the measured case (53.9) to get the final...
I visited my spot a few weeks ago and it looks like they've been poisoned. Out of the 120 mounds, only 10 or so showed activity.
And that's some fine shootin-
just for the heck of it. I am not sure what velocity goes with what powder charge, but I'd say this is pretty close. That extra 6" of barrel really brings out the speed of that powder.
