At the time (2007), this was the largest hog take on Vandenberg AFB, CA. I took this one with the 45 Cal muzzle loader. We had to check in deer and hogs with the base conservation office. This guy weighed in at 288lbs field-dressed with legs still attached. His cartilage or whatever it is "we...
I use some of the RCBS "X" full length sizing dies and the instructions say to clean the brass, then size all the bras. You then trim to ensure the brass is all equal length. One that is done, you then trim to .020 shorter than maximum specs. Then adjust the die to the newly trimmed brass. It's...
They make it easy to do. Once I got more experience with them I found that about 1" behind the ear and down about 1" would be a DRT shot as it took out the spine. Made it easy to remove the head later as well.

They kick like a mule, I usually get a love tap from the scope every time I shoot it with the 250AB. Ammo is all but non-existent for them, so you'll need to load your own. I have the XCR version, but with a Stocky's Stocks thumbhole laminate on it. Brass is difficult to find right now. I'm...
Slightly off topic, but if you bought Nosler brass that comes "ready to load", I would highly suggest full length sizing all of it before you go any further. I used Nosler "factory first" brass to develope a load for my 30-06. I found found a very accurate load for the 165AB with Varget. When I...
I put my wife in for an antlered moose here in Idaho. I've already got my one ID antlered moose and IDFG shut down all but one anterless moose hunt. Anyway, regardless of her getting a moose tag, we'll be doing the ususal, general season OTC antlered elk, regular deer and bear tags. If she...
There is an option for "In Stock". Place the cursor on "SHOP". When the menu appears, move the cursor to "IN STOCK" and another menu will appear allowing you to see "ALL IN STOCK" or choose from brass, bullets or ammo.
