Yeah our Georgia deer don’t get that big. We have managed to make it to Colorado a couple of times and to Yellowstone and the Tetons once. We have been fortunate enough to see most of the big animals those areas have to offer. One that we have not seen that I would really like to is mountain...
Just a heads up. I have finally broke down and ordered QuickLoad. I will be reading through the pinned post but I’m sure I’ll be asking lots of questions.
I figure since I had a couple of wildcats and another cartridge with kind of limited data that I might as well take the plunge.

Our are green now. My wife worked 32 years for a CPA firm and we couldn’t get up there with dogwoods blooming except for one year where the dogwoods bloomed late. Last year she changed jobs but started the first or March so COVID kept us from going.

Guy it’s an awesome place with or without a camera but I love trying to capture worthwhile images of the area and it’s inhabitants.
If you ever decide to visit let me know and if I can I’d love to meet up and do some photos. It’s about a 3 hour drive from where I live.

Thanks Guy. The coyotes can be difficult to get a good shot of. This one is the best I have ever got. On a side note that coyote is standing maybe 50 feet from where the bear was for the close up in the other post.

Mike these are in an area of the GSMNP called Cades Cove. It is one of mine and my wife’s favorite places. It’s a cove tucked into the mountains that was a mountain community back in the 1800 through the 1900’s until the park was created. There is a 11 mile loop road and a couple of cut through...
Let qualify (or maybe disqualify) my comment by saying that I have never formed 257AI but when forming 257 JDJ which not only sharpens the shoulder but blows it forward I use a 120 grain bullet and jam it heavily into the lands to help hold the case head against the contender frame to help cut...
Could someone please run quick load for the 7tcu with 120 and 140 grain NBT with Norma 200 and Norma 202 to a 14” tc contender.
Thanks in advance.

I’m haven’t watched the videos yet but I’m especially interested in the 6.5 staball one. I’ve never used it but just picked up 8 lbs of it to try out.

Thanks CL. I also have a xp100r rear grip in 260 Remington. It is mostly stock except for a Ross brake and and a Timney Calvin Elite trigger set to 10 oz. Also have a savage striker in 22 BR that had been custom built before I bought it. Those things are so much fun to shoot that between those...
The 25 Creedmoor is a 6.5 necked down or a 6 Creedmoor necked up. My xp100 was built by Chris Rhodes at Bayside Custom Gunworks. Action work, Kreiger 1:9 twist barrel cut to 16” Harrell’s brake all in a McMillian center grip stock. The glass is a Vortex viper HST 6-24 and my better loads will...
