Unfortunately, the resale value for a LabRadar has dropped like a rock. Guys are having a hard time selling their units, with all the accessories, for 25% of what they paid for them. I was in that boat too.
I have an Oehler 35P which "was" the chronograph that all others were compared to. I...
Without a doubt, that is the most extensive and impressive bullet inventory I have ever seen. I've never even seen an inventory like that in a retail store. I tip my hat to you Sir.
I bought my Garmin as soon as they were released. Paid the $600 plus tax. I watched as many of my friends waited for a deal and lost a year's worth of use and saved nothing in the end. If I were you, I'd get one now before the price goes up!
Hammer bullets has a 172gr mono designed for the 350 Legend. Normally, Hammer bullets open at lower velocities (1,800fps) than many competing bullets. That might be an important consideration when muzzle velocities are low.
Just a thought.
Load data for short barrels is no different than for standard length barrels. A powder that produces the highest velocity in a long barrel will usually produce the highest velocity in a shorter bbl. The only difference is the reduction in velocity. You may get an awful lot of muzzle flash from...
If you single round load than crimping shouldn't be necessary. But ..... 120gr of powder is sure to produce enough recoil that bullets in a magazine may move. In that case a little crimp might be advisable, especially for a dangerous game hunt.
My Browning safe has a Browning 110v dehumidifying rod that is never off. I've got a Goden Rod in a storage cabinet that is also run 24/7. Neither location has ever seen a bit of rust. Wiping everything down with a good rust inhibitor is never a bad idea.
I've got a couple of pounds of 7828ssc laying around. Yesterday I loaded 4-7PRC cases with 66gr under a Hornady 180 ELD-M bullet. After shooting my established load for the 7PRC, I shot the 7828/180 load. The first 3 bullets landed in .9" at 400yds. But, as luck would have it, the 4th bullet...
Yes - full foam on top & bottom. It is also available in a few colors. I've seen yellow, black and the orange which is pictured. It also comes with a lockable lid and two plastic keys.
My buddy passed away recently. He had a load of misc ammo in boxes, jars and containers. I'm not sure if it was all handloads or just some of it. I put all the ammo on a shelf at our club with a sign that said "free ammo". In two weeks, it was all gone. It could have been tossed out for all that...
I started neck turning when I was ordering custom tight neck chambers. From there, I began to just skim neck turn all of my brass for all of my rifles. Over the years I have reconsidered the need or potential advantages of neck turning. Using high quality brass, in custom barrels, it was...
Things are getting pretty bad when paying $140 for a brick of primers is considered a score. I paid $125 for the last two bricks of GMM primers and cringed as I handed over my CC. :ROFLMAO:
For those of us who are addicted to this sport, we've just got to pony up the $$$$. However, it sure has...
Only once - I had a Utah mountain lion hunt booked. The week before I flew out, I called the outfitter to make sure all the arrangements were in place. The guy tells me that it's -20deg. I tell him that I'm a Long Islander and that I don't do 20 below. The outfitter said, "neither do I".
When I...
I shot a few nice bull moose with the 250Accubond from a 338RUM. Most bullets passed through. One big bull presented himself at 55yds and turned broadside. The bullet hit him square on the shoulder and passed all the way through the opposite shoulder before resting in the offside hide. IIRC the...
I've been testing some readily available IMR and Hodgdon powders in a new 7PRC. Switching back and forth between Federal 215M and Federal 210M primers revealed that standard deviation was almost always lower with the 210M primers. Velocity loss was less than 40fps and could easily be regained...
