I have been shooting a Knight Disc rifle since somewhere back in the early to mid 90's. I use 3 50gr pellets of either Pyrodex or Triple 7 depending on which bullet/sabot combination im using. I love the rifle and it will shoot MOA out to 200 yards if I do my part.

I have an old WIN 1892 in 44WCF (44-40) octagon barrel , she isn't the most powerful or accurate old girl with the buckhorn sight but it's a lot of fun to shoot.
Exactly, show it all, but have some class and respect for the animal. That deer should have been shot again right then and there. Not start the high fives and hand shakes with the animal suffering.
There is always a chance of things going bad with shot placement. But these fellows were doing a show on long range gear with all of the bells and whistles and stating how easy it is and then BAM !! Gut shot and they still aired the show. Now if I was trying to sell all the Hype that these guys...
After watching the video numerous times , I believe you are right about the distance Not Being 550. Using the person who stood up as a reference It would seem like about 150. Not to mention he almost missed that animal according to the vapor trail.

I have to agree with 6mm Remington on the AB for less meat loss. And with speed goats believe me you don't have a lot of meat to start with so why waste it.
Very Well said, I haven't heard the term MPBR since the Dark ages......I like your way of thinking.. (y) I pretty much do the same thing.
With a new generation (turret twisters) MPBR is unheard of anymore. Obsolete if you will....jmho
