i have a '16 or '17 model in 270win. i can understand why smiths would want to touch it being the way it's made, but it would take someone with a long time smithing to do this? i haven't shot mine very much, maybe about 20 rounds? not sure about moa, but did hit more than just...
i don't see very many as those pics were from 3 years ago. from the fire back in march it might be awhile before they show back up? even yote numbers have dropped
use a plumb line and check windage. i guess the optic has been use by you and now went haywire? as for ammo, reload for all just in case? moving optics isn't something i do unless i have a new build and no optic for it yet. i'm sure you're an experienced shooter with the h/h, so no...
carbon fiber of the same length and save a pound or 2 depending on profile? i have 2 110's in 300wm (24" stealth, 26" ba/le) and 1 custon build 30" cf that only saved me 14 or 15 ozs compared to a 32" ss barrel. to me a 22-24" is good with a 180-200gr range that still gives good velocity and...
19 has been out along with 7, 10, ar-comp, 15, 15.5 and 16. midsouth had 25 for a short time. without having little to none of 17 left in my stock, vv550 was my replacement. vv560 might have to replace my low stock of 19.
i'm a creole person, but won't say no to gumbo or jambalaya! my sister's in-laws came from Lake Charles, LA and her MIL could make some great cajun food. the spicier and hotter the better! i'm not sure if the jambalaya recipe i have was hers? i'll check and see, then report back
good to know! i have yet to try grand, match and hd powders but do have all 3. i have only 1 270win (22" blr). with 10 twist it's limited to 150's which is fine. the 270wiin is just as tough as the fabled 30-06. 2 great cartridges for decades to go!
iirc the 150ablr is @ .595ish and the berger 150vld-h @ .518ish. i have both for the 270win and maybe (i'll check my stock) the 145edl-x. i don't hunt seasonal animals, only varmints including hogs/pigs and no experience with either yet.
165-168 i'd say is the best weight for 308win. with that said and using a 26" barrel 185's get me close to or just over 3,100 on muzzle energy with n550.
although it's a gm product and not directly related to a duramax i haven't had any issues with a 23 year old p/u with those. what year is it? with it being a gm it might be something that only you can get thru gm and not a non-dealer parts supplier.
video might help
finally getting to my swift manual and it states h4198 @ 50.0grs is max w/350a-frames in their testing. shows velocity from a 24" @ 2118 and charge load of 87%. didn't state firearm used, only wiseman barrel 1/20"
