270win fits in my 30-06 class (long action standard bolt face), but now starting to go short mags in AR's for a more compact gun and have the speed = range w/ heavier bullets combo. i was able to find adg 300wsm brass at a close to local store that doesn't advertise online that's equal to better...
2 things i haven't been a fan of..........308win and rem's.............while i still don't own any rem's i do have several 308's in ar's only. when i was a kid the 308 seamed to be a big caliber for me, but did shoot 264wm since the age of 11 (go figure). 308win is a die-hard take no...
i bought some for 264wm, 243win and now will use some for 7saum and 6.5prc. yes, i do have some left in the ssc. i did see some either earlier this year or late last year, but don't recall where online it was.
For me it's only been 4 years, but for some I had trouble with the password not being accepted for 2 or 3 years before that. I don't post much, but do read most of what is.
If I had a choice (actually do) I'd go (and have since '76 @ 11yo) 264wm. It has been and will always be my favorite! The next 26cals I've bought in order of succession is ......6.5gren then 6.5creed, then 260rem and finally 6.5prc. I prefer the 260 over the creed!
i shot the 6.5prc last week or 2 ago and it shot so soft with factory norma 143 golden target match loads. recoil was more like a 22mag. need to change out the 9.5oz buffer for a standard rifle buffer weight (5.???oz) or lighter. the norma ammo was a short mag length (2.860") instead of an...
i've shot magtech branded ammo, but never used any of the primers. looking for large rifle primers and seeing they have some available might get me too try them. with several new to the market large rifle primers (and some magnums) i'd try them all for shot to shot comparisons.
glad you had that time and hopefully more time with your g-son as it's a life lesson. my kids love to shoot and need more time with them (ages 15-26). 5 boys and 1 girl and she's the most competitive of them all! they all have a lot too learn
though i wasn't much of a ffa person, i did do 4h. started doing 4h in 4th grade in junior grass judging (later changed to plant identification) up thru my senior year. after my brother's group (3 years older than i) graduated i got moved to range judging. we went to state every year and...
These are a few of my favorite loads. The Pic with the arrow was a load I did on QL. According to QL it is a safe load......I will say not so much, but if using an efficient brake it is. W/O a brake I wouldn't shoot it. Sierra v-crown's are great (90, 115, 124, 125), but use 147gdhp...
I have the da/sa to be clear. Not having a chrono to measure I have only what the manual states velocity should be. If you're looking to shoot 100-150 yards this 9mil does it easier than +p+.
