I have several brass in PMC, Remington, Federal, Winchester and the best,,Starline. I rather keep Starline seperate from factory brass.
Is it OK to mix once fired factory brass together when reloading?
I just took out about unsized and fired 150 cases out of the tumbler and washed with water...
POP, Any chance of anawering the question on the blowby, if you know?
I remembered that the Sabres were the last 50 rounds I shot and there were excessive hot oil on the front receiver and hammer areas, it may be hot oil. I kinda put a little too much cause I was cycling about 150 rounds.

My sister has an old P226 in 9mm SA and I tried it along with the Kimbers inj .45 and .38 Super. The Sig shot 147 Hydra Shoks low and left at 30 feet and I was not too impressed with the accuracy.
Kimber .45 with : factory PMC ball 1-2 inches at 15 yards...
I saw some pistols today. There was a Sig 229 in .40 and Sig 220 in .45 and there were the hammer and hammerless models. The hammerless or DAK had a hard trigger and the one with the hammer had a softer trigger.
I don't know which to get. Any suggestions?
The .40 has the edge in knockdown power...
The Dillon came in this afternoon and got it set up next to my RCBS rock chucker. I got all the .45 dies adjusted and rechecked the metering of the powder dispenser with W231 and it after 10 throws it stayed the same nine out of ten throws. The other throw was a tenth of a grain. Just perfect...
Great shooting POP. Ummm, do I see two holes in the bottom 7 ring. <snicker> Just kidding. Last time I was taking my shooting test for my concealed handgun permit and two of us were close to shooting that kind of group. Good shooting.

I was reading a report on stopping powers on certain calibers and it is a pretty good read. I don't know what to say and ask for your opinions on bullet weights between the 185 and 230 grain for the .45

POP, thanks again. I looked at Para Ordnance and they have the similiar 1911 frame in DA and they look nice. What do ya think? Acurrate???
Price is similiar to the Kimber and Para has 13 +1 rounds of .45 in the mag and it is double action. A nice combination, isn't it? Forgot to add Para to...
I don't know if this will work and I ask the moderators to help out.
If this poll does not work out, please name your favorite double action/ model.

I have read about race guns in .45 and Supers and I am not into that. It is the thought of understanding motion in relation to power. There were articles about changing the recoil spring to 10 pound spring, etc when performing this type of load. Blah, Blah. Does that mean if using a pet load...
I use Lapua cases and it mostly do not need to deburr flash holes or neck turn. I do weigh the cases and sort them and also the match bullets. I just full size new cases first and fireform them and neck size afterwards. I trim them and next I square/ clean primer pockets. I individually powder...
Legally meaning and not to get sued by using powerful handloads for self defense but would they still sue you if they see you using "P+ hollowpoint ammo for self defense" which is a bit more powerful than standard hollowpoints and lawyers and juries still see you as an evil person using...
What factory ammo would be"legal" to use for self defense loads for .38 Super and .45?
I see Silvertips, Gold Dot and Golden Saber. What do you guys lean on?
I read an article on a topic that was discussed a few days ago that is it a no - no to use handloads for self defense. Even the banned lethal Black Talons are excluded along with handloads.
