Was wondering if someone would be kind enough to run QL for me, like to get an idea of velocity:
.300 Win. Mag.
210gr ABLR
H1000 (76.0grs is what I'm interested in)
3.600" COAL
28" barrel
Thank you in advance!
Ridge runner is speaking from experience, so I'd go with his advice. If you're using a magneto or lab radar the velocity is in my opinion is good, then check zero and measure sight height as accurately as possible. Also, make sure you're using the correct pressure in your program, that's by far...
My guess is about .485-.490 going off of litzs numbers for the other Noslers Litz measured in his book, plug that in your ballistics program and see if the numbers make your come ups match
Curious on thoughts with this combo, what powders would be top contenders and what velocities could be expected from a 28" barrel? Assuming 2,750fps for a 140 Berger Hybrid and 2,650 for the 147, the ELD has 10" less wind deflection at 1000 yards with a 10mph wind, that is definitely a huge...
Stout load of h1000, 0.010" jump and magneto at 2,981fps. Goal is to get an elk with the 215 Berger, 212 ELD and 210 ABLR this year. Between me and my buddy, we've got enough tags to make it happen. Gotta get the elk to cooperate now.
50-75 yards. MV was 2,991fps, both had bullet diameter entrance. Both were bang flop instantly dead. These pics are from the close goat, the long shot was a really nasty exit and if rather not post it for everyone to see. PM if you must see it.

Thanks guys, it was a great hunt.
Polaris, I don't take anything you said as disrespectful or anything, I respect your opinion and honesty. It's a long shot and i get your point. I shoot F-class and high power as well and know what you're saying. Wouldn't have taken the shot had the wind not...

Buddy drew a antelope buck tag here in Colorado, his rifle took a digger a few weeks before the hunt so I offered up my .300. We went out first light opening day and found the buck we scouted out and got all set up. Took the atmospherics, range, and wind. And let her rip. Video showed up pretty...
