Has anyone ever considered loading the new 225gr E-tip? As good as the 200gr E-tip has worked for everyone, it seems like a 225gr version with a bit more sectional density and an even better BC would be out of this world. I imagine folks could get close to 2,800 FPS without leaning on it that...
Fotis,
I love my 6mm with 55gr BTs for coyotes! It’s a cream puff to shoot and really puts the hurt on ‘em.

Songdog, that’s one hell of a run on coyotes man! Nice work!

I had an FN Mauser in 243 win that was doing the same thing. Sticky bolt lift, beat up brass, and blown primers after only one firing and we’ll below book minimum charges. Took it to a gunsmith for inspection and it turned out that the barrel was too small, causing excessive pressure. Good luck...
What a great post. I think Scotty nailed just about every aspect of why I love P64s. I’m not opposed to enclosed triggers, but feel that the open system is simply a work of art. I was sad to see New Haven close, but ecstatic when FN resurrected the M70 here on American shores. Likewise, I was...
Hexamine fuel tablets are pretty sweet. I carry a few in my possibles bag when I’m in the backcountry. Wish I’d have figured that out sooner in life, but they are there now if I need them!

I really like my uncheckerered 721, but it feels a bit like an unfinished product to save money when I look hard at it. If it’s a good stick of wood, checkering will only enhance its beauty. Jeweling sure looks nice, but I’ve been staring at sir Jack’s rifles for too long now and have become...
You could always use that 700 action as a small boat anchor or something else useful. Oh, I’m just messing with you. I’ve got an ol’ 721 that I really like. Anyway, a fast twist 243 is awful nice shooting some of the heavy Sierra bullets or DTAC stuff. It’s nice being able to see/spot your shot...
Fotis,
Any chance you would consider running a QL prediction using RL26 in a 26” pipe with the 180gr e-tip? Seems like it would be good elk medicine.

Thank you guys. She’s taking to it like a duck to water. She asked if we could knock out a few more tonight, so we fired up the ol’ press again. We’ve got six three round sets of 90 ABs to test bullet jump from .075” to 0.100”. Hopefully we’ll find something the rifle likes!

Mark me down for 6.5x55, 7x57, 300h&h, and 375h&h. Tracking these are European cartridges, but they sure do go well in our ol’ friend the M70!
