I was under the impression that the 700s were made in NY. I would be surprised to learn if they weren't, and would not buy another if that was the case.
I'd go stainles, but I live on the beach and my chromoly action on my .308 rusts easily since the finish is worn and I'm not partial to refinishing the rifle every year.
Vince, things already are interesting. Can't wait for them to stop paying the military. I've given a lot for my county, but I sure didn't do it so myself and all of the others that have made a sacrifice to get stabbed in the back and used as a political bargaining chip.
